Refund and Cancellation Policy
Our clients are businesses, so the consumer cancellation rules do not apply. This is the position we apply instead, and it is deliberately straightforward.
Draft for review. This policy has been prepared as a working draft and has not yet been approved by the firm's solicitors. It is published here so it can be reviewed, and should not be relied on as the firm's final position.
Before work starts
If you cancel before we have started work, any fee already paid is refunded in full.
Once work has started
Fixed fees are earned as the work is done. If you cancel part way through, we will refund the proportion of the fee that relates to work not yet carried out, and tell you how that has been calculated.
A licence readiness review is treated as complete once the written findings have been delivered, and is not refundable after that point.
Ongoing compliance retainers
Retainers run monthly and can be cancelled with 30 days' written notice. Fees already paid for the current period are not refunded, and we will complete anything already in progress during the notice period.
Home Office fees
Home Office charges — the licence fee, certificate of sponsorship fees, the Immigration Skills Charge and the priority service fee — are paid to the Home Office, not to us. We cannot refund them, and the Home Office does not refund the licence fee if an application is refused.
If an application is refused
A refusal is not by itself a reason for a refund of our fee, because the fee pays for the work of preparing and submitting the application, not for a particular outcome. Where a refusal is caused by something we got wrong, tell us — that is a complaint, and it is handled under our complaints procedure.
How to cancel
Email info@uksponsorlicence.uk with the matter reference. We will confirm in writing, tell you what stage the work had reached, and settle any refund within 14 days.
