Complaints Procedure

If something has gone wrong we want to know, and we want the chance to put it right. This is how a complaint is handled.

LAST UPDATED SEPTEMBER 2026

Draft for review. This policy has been prepared as a working draft and has not yet been approved by the firm's solicitors. It is published here so it can be reviewed, and should not be relied on as the firm's final position.

Raise it with us first

Write to info@uksponsorlicence.uk, or to Shams Britvisa Lawyers Ltd, 291 Slade Lane, Manchester, M19 2HR, United Kingdom, setting out what happened, when, and what you would like us to do about it. Please include the matter reference if you have one.

What happens next

We acknowledge your complaint in writing within 5 working days.

It is reviewed by someone who was not responsible for the work complained about, wherever that is possible.

We give you a full written response within 8 weeks, and sooner where we can.

If we need longer, we will tell you why and give you a revised date.

If you are still not satisfied

Immigration advice and services are regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority. If you are unhappy with our final response, or we have not responded within 8 weeks, you can complain to the IAA. Our registration number is F202200117.

There is no charge for complaining, either to us or to the regulator.

Our record

We keep a record of every complaint and its outcome, and review them to find out whether something in our process needs to change.
